Description
Lumive Guardian G12 WiFi Smart Door Lock: Your Front Door, Answerable From Anywhere
A front door asks its questions at inconvenient times. Someone needs to get in while you are at work. A code handed to a visitor months ago is still circulating and nobody can remember who has it. The Guardian G12 WiFi is the model built for those moments: it runs on your home Wi-Fi and reports to the Lumive app, so the door is reachable from anywhere rather than only from the doorstep.
Four Things You Can Do Without Standing at the Door
This is the work the Wi-Fi connection exists to do, and every item happens inside the Lumive app.- Release the lock remotely. Let someone in while you are somewhere else entirely.
- Issue a temporary password or an electronic key. A cleaner, a relative or a delivery gets in for the visit and nothing beyond it, with no spare key cut and no permanent code left in circulation.
- Read the unlocking history. Entries are recorded, so you can look back at who came in and when.
- Get told before the battery is flat. The app tells you the power is running down while there is still plenty of time to act on it.
Telling the Three Guardian G12 Models Apart
All three share the same body. This one, the G12 WiFi, works over Wi-Fi with the Lumive app, and its face carries no camera and no doorbell button. The G12 Camera also runs over Wi-Fi, and adds a camera module above the keypad together with a doorbell function, so a caller can be looked at before any decision is made. The G12 TTlock BLE connects over Bluetooth instead, with the phone pairing to the lock through the TTLock app. Where seeing the visitor is the priority, the Camera model is the one to read about. Where a household wants a door that answers from a distance, this is the right model for it.
The Door Still Opens When the Phone Is Not Involved
Remote control is the reason this model exists, but it is one route in out of five, and nobody in the house is obliged to use it.- Fingerprint. Recognition takes about 0.6 seconds on the 3D sensor, which is built to reject prosthetic replicas rather than accept whatever gets pressed against it.
- The Lumive app. The remote route described above.
- M1 RFID card. The reader stays live, so holding the card to it opens the door. That suits full hands, and anyone who would rather not enrol a fingerprint at all.
- Passcode. A touch keypad, backlit, so it stays legible once the light has gone.
- Mechanical key. The physical failsafe, supplied in the box, for a day when nothing electronic is available.
Capacity, and a Lock That Re-Secures Itself
The Guardian G12 WiFi stores up to 200 fingerprints, plus 100+ passcodes and 100+ cards, each kind with its own allowance rather than sharing one pool. That is room enough for a large household to give every person their own way in, instead of one code passed around. Auto-lock then covers the mistake everyone makes at least once: after a set period the lock secures the door itself, whether or not anyone remembered to.Spoken Prompts, in the Language of the House
Arabic is one of the languages this lock speaks, alongside English and six more. It says out loud what it is doing as you unlock it or work through its settings, which matters most to the people at home who did not set it up and should not have to. The KSA version is what ships here, in the Mortise 4585 size.
What It Puts Up With: Heat, Dust and a Flat Battery
The outward face of the lock lives where the weather is. The lock as a whole carries an IP55 rating against dust and water, and its stated operating range reaches 60°C at the top and holds down to 25°C below zero, which is more margin than a Riyadh summer will ask of it. Power is handled the same unfussy way: the app warns you while the battery is merely low, and if that is left until the lock has nothing left, its own USB Type-C port will take a temporary charge from a power bank or a similar supply, which is enough to open the door and put fresh power in.Fitting It to the Door You Already Have
Handing is a screwdriver question here, not a part-number question: the lock reverses, so a door hung on the left and a door hung on the right take the same unit. The supplied instructions assume you will fit it yourself. Where the door itself needs altering, or you would simply rather hand the job over, a fitter can take it on.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Lumive app allow you to do?
Through the Lumive app, you can unlock the door remotely to let visitors in from anywhere, generate temporary passcodes or electronic keys for guests and cleaners, view the complete unlocking history to track who entered, and receive low-battery alerts well before the power runs out.
Which model of the Guardian G12 family suits you?
All three Guardian G12 models share the same body. Choose the G12 WiFi if you want remote door access from anywhere via the Lumive app. Choose the G12 Camera if seeing visitors via a built-in camera and doorbell is your priority. Choose the G12 TTLock BLE if you prefer direct Bluetooth pairing through the TTLock app.
Will the Guardian G12 WiFi fit my door?
The G12 WiFi is the KSA version in the Mortise 4585 size, and it reverses with a screwdriver so the same lock suits left- and right-hung doors. Check that your existing lock body is 4585, and send Lumive your door's thickness and photos on WhatsApp before ordering if you are unsure.
What happens when the G12 WiFi battery is low or empty?
The Lumive app notifies you while the battery is merely low, so you can replace it on your schedule. If it runs out completely, a power bank on the USB Type-C port supplies enough temporary power to open the door, and the mechanical key in the box also works.
How many fingerprints, passcodes and cards can the G12 WiFi store?
The G12 WiFi stores up to 200 fingerprints, 100 or more passcodes and 100 or more cards, each with its own allowance rather than one shared pool. You can also open it with the Lumive app or the mechanical key.
Can I install the G12 WiFi myself, and what does installation cost?
Yes, the supplied instructions are written for fitting it yourself, and a fitter can take over if the door needs altering. Professional installation costs SAR 120 per lock when you buy from Lumive, and a Lumive-certified technician also sets up the app and tests the lock.
What door thickness does the Guardian G12 WiFi fit?
The Guardian G12 WiFi fits doors from 35 to 55 mm thick and uses the Mortise 4585 lock-body size. Measure your door and lock body before ordering, and send Lumive the measurements and photos on WhatsApp if you are unsure.
What warranty does the Guardian G12 WiFi have?
The Guardian G12 WiFi is covered by Lumive's warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, against defects in materials and workmanship. Repair, exchange or, in some cases, a refund is available, and normal battery wear and misuse are not covered.
